MW Frank Loui Visits Temescal Palms Lodge #314

Temescal Palms #314 was graced with a visit by Most Worshipful Frank Loui on Friday night, February 24, 2012. The Grand Master served as the Senior Deacon during Bro. Martin Durbin's initiation. The rest of the officers' chairs were occupied by Past Masters, with WM Robert Burger sitting in the East. The event was well-attended by brethren and officials from several different lodges and Masonic divisions as well as Grand Lodge officials. MW Frank was most accommodating as he managed to stop and chat with everyone in attendance, and specially with the initiate. What a wonderful way to welcome our newest brother into the Craft! Proceeds from the event are earmarked to be gifted to the GM for his Raising A Reader project.

Raising A Reader

Did you know...

  • The vast majority of low income families don't have a single book in their homes.
  • California ranks near the bottom of the United States for child literacy
  • 90% of children who cannot read at grade level by 3rd grade will never catch up

Raising A Reader

Most Worshipful Frank Loui has launched his commitment to Raising A Reader, a program aimed at helping address the problem of child literacy. For information on how you can support this effort, please visit the California Grand Lodge's web page at http://www.freemason.org/RaisingAReader/index.htm.
